Vinton-Shellsburg Voyagers Dance Team to present Spring Show

Vinton-Shellsburg Voyagers Dance Team will be presenting their Spring Show on Saturday, February 15. The doors will be open at 6:00 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Vinton-Shellsburg Middle School Gymnasium.Cost for admission is $5.00 and Children 5 and under are Free. Come see the award-winning dance team perform a variety of dance styles such as jazz, hip-hop, pom and kick.

Applications being taken for 11th Annual Boom-Fest

Dreary skies and cold temps got you down?Start thinking about warm weather, sunshine and Vinton's Boom-Fest celebration!Applications are now available for the 11th Annual Boom-Fest celebration!Boom-Fest is scheduled for Saturday, August 29 from 9am to 2pm in Vinton, Iowa.We are once again looking for arts & crafts, antique, repurposed treasures and food vendors to set up in the heart of our downtown district.

Local Artists sought for Art Show

The Iowa Artists organization is looking for artists to submit their original artwork for the Iowa Artists Region 7 Art ShowIowa Artists is a statewide, non-profit organization that works to encourage and educate artists around the state.  Region  7 covers artists living in Benton, Blackhawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Grundy, and Tama counties.

Fundraiser event for the Brennen Still Family this Saturday

8th Annual Back Roads Boho Market to be held in Dysart June 6th Vendors needed

The Dysart Development Corporation is now accepting vendor applications for the 8th Annual Back Roads Boho Market. The event will take place on June 6th from 9 am to 3 pm on Main Street in Dysart. Vinton Popcorn to host Movie night featuring Frozen on February 21

A Winter Open Swim to be held February 16

On Sunday, February 16, 2020, beginning at 2:00 PM  and running until 4:00 PM, there will be an open swim. Get out of the house and join us for Winter Open Swim at the Iowa Braille & Sight Saving School indoor pool! Only $4/person when you arrive!

Red Cedar Shooters to hold Chili Supper

The Red Cedar Shooters will hold a Chili Supper on Saturday, February 22nd from 4-7 p.m. at the Isaac Walton League, 5667 24th Ave. Dr. in Vinton. $6 for all you can eat, ages 5 and under are Free.There will be silent auction items donated by Theisens and Palo Outdoor. Raffles include a Mossberg 500 donated by Tactical Creations and  Ruger 450 Bushmaster donated by Whitetail.
